WochitA 21-year-old Clark Atlanta University student who was reported missing a week ago was found dead Friday in a Georgia park.Alexis Crawford was reported missing on Nov. 1 and her body was discovered in at a park in DeKalb County, Georgia on Friday, Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields said in a news conference. The location is about 10 miles east of the Clark Atlanta University campus.Police are working to secure arrest warrants for two suspects, one of whom lead investigators to the scene where the body was discovered, Shields said.”The case has come to one of the saddest conclusions possible, and has been absolutely heartbreaking,” Shields said, before thanking investigators.Police identified the two 21-year-old suspects as Jordyn Jones,, who is female and 21-years-old, and Barron Brantley, who is Jones’ boyfriend. Crawford and Jones had formerly been friends and roommates, Shields said.This undated photo provided by the Atlanta Police Department shows Alexis Crawford. (Photo: Atlanta Police Department/Atlanta Journal-Constitution via AP)No motive has been disclosed by authorities, but days before she went missing, Crawford filed a police report describing “unwanted kissing and touching” by Brantley.”To Alexis’ family, our hearts go out to you. I am so truly sorry that we could not provide you with a better ending,” Shields saidPresident of Clark Atlanta University George T.
